I haven’t gotten a chance to make any real posts yet because my camera is in the shop. I was just in Israel for 3 weeks and there was desert sand in the lens mechanisms. Anyway, it makes sense to start off with the first recipe I ever memorized. I hate buying prepared cookie dough because I have no idea what ingredients they really used. I like organic ingredients best. (side note, I will probably post this recipe again in a few months or whatever when I have my camera back so I can take some non-iPhone pictures of them)
Chocolate chip cookies
Preheat the oven to 375 F
Ingredients
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 sticks of butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
In a small mixing bowl, set aside dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars and butter until fully blended. Then introduce one egg at a time, beating until smooth. Add the vanilla. Add the flour mixture in three increments until fully combined. Do not overbeat. Add chocolate chips. Chill dough until hard before baking (this keeps your cookies from running all over the place) . Make 1″ balls of chilled dough and place a few inches apart on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes (depending how crispy you like them). Let cool for 5 minutes then remove from cookie sheet to continue cooling.
I also took a Vine, just for kicks.
